Dear families,
We understand your sense of urgency and concern regarding the COVID-19 vaccine which will become available to the public. The vaccine is not yet available to patients at NYU Langone Health locations in New York State. You do not need to call your provider at this time to inquire about receiving the vaccine. Please stay tuned to NYU Langone Health MyChart and to the Dysautonomia Center blog for more information as it becomes available.
We would like to stress a few points:
- Vaccine distribution at NYU Langone Health will occur at selected locations across the NYC and Long Island campuses. The Dysautonomia Center will not be a vaccine distribution location.
- You do not have to get the vaccine at NYU Langone Health. You may receive it locally your community. The most likely places of distribution will be hospitals, medical centers, and hopefully clinics and pharmacies in your community as more doses become available.
- Continue to monitor updates from your state and city Departments of Health for more information on the process to receive the vaccine locally once it is available.
As always, please continue to wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, and socially distance. Stay safe and stay well.
Sincerely,
The NYU Dysautonomia Center Team
